Brown bowl

A chocolate brown bowl which keeps reminding me of Smarties 🤷🏻♂️ so let’s call it a sweetie bowl. Measuring 10cm in diameter and 5cm high, this is the beginning of this year’s experimentation with a matte and gloss contrast idea.
The outside is coated with a very matte dark brown engobe glaze while the inside has a coat of clear and is a high-shine gloss.
Food safe glazes. All back-stamped with my maker’s mark ‘JL’.
For best results, wash handmade pottery by hand. Although these can withstand occasional cleaning in the dishwasher, they shouldn’t go into the microwave, oven or freezer.
